Hola hola! readers of the
blog made by Mansión De Chocolate, today we are going to talk about traveling in Granada, Nicaragua. There
are a lot of different places to go sightseeing. For the views, for relaxation and for tasting the culture of Nicaragua.
So let’s first talk
about what you can do when visiting the city Granada. Granada is an old, beautiful colonial city with a lot of colored buildings. At first the city
looks quite small and it is quite small but there is a lot to do.
There are a lot of different churches in Granada. The cathedral near the central park is the most famous one, but there is more than that one church. If you walk through Granada you can find the: Guadalupe Church (here you can "climb" the tower and have a beautiful view of the city Granada), Iglesias La Merced, San Francisco Convent, Iglesias de Xalteva and the Xalteva walls

You can also walk to the old rail station which is turned into a cooking school. A fun thing to do is rent a bike on the Calzada and bike via centro turistico to the harbor, following the coast of the lake. When doing this you will see a beautiful nature and different viewpoints from the lake as well as boats and beautiful houses right next to the lake.
The Granada market is the local market that has a diverse range of products. There is everything from clothes, shoes, shampoo to meat and fruit stalls. It is interesting to see and enjoy the atmosphere however, for the tourists, it is not a good idea to
buy your meat there! The fruit, on the other hand, is delicious. Go take a look in
the local market!
Furthermore, do a tour through
the islands of Granada. There are about 360 different island throughout the
lake of Granada. This includes the four islands of the Toña family and yes, this is where there are the enormous vacation houses.
And of course come by
our Choco Museo to learn the history of cacao and maybe do a fun chocolate
workshop with one of our employees. It is a superb way to spend an afternoon with the
family and enjoy the chocolate!
